The upcoming English remake of Marco Bellocchio’s classic Italian dark comedy ‘Fists in Pocket’, which premiered in 1965, will be called ‘Rosebush Pruning’ and has added the likes of Callum Turner and Riley Keough to it’s cast, according to Variety.
Per the report, the pair will be replacing replacing Oscar nominee Kristen Stewart and Golden Globe winner Josh O’Connor, who exited the project due to scheduling conflicts, as lead characters in the film.
Elle Fanning, Jamie Bell (All of Us Strangers), Lukas Gage (Smile 2), Tracy Letts (Lady Bird), Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In), and Pamela Anderson (The Last Showgirl) are also set to star. Rosebush Pruning is being directed by Karim Aïnouz.
“I’m so excited to bring this audacious and delicious script to life, which challenges our notions of the traditional family and the patriarchy, with this brilliant ensemble of actors who I have long admired,” Aïnouz said in a statement.
