AMC Networks has expanded the cast for the third season of Daryl Dixon to include five Spanish actors and production on the next season of The Walking Dead spinoff is currently in production in Spain.
Alexandra Masangkay (The Platform), Eduardo Noriega (The Devil’s Backbone), and Óscar Jaenada (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) will be joining the cast as regulars during Season 3, while Candela Saitta (Máxima) and Hugo Arbués (Through My Window) have been cast in recurring roles.
All will be joining Walking Dead veterans Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride who will both be reprising their fan favorite roles as Daryl and Carol moving forward.
According to the official synopsis: “Season 3 follows Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier as they continue their journey to somehow return home and to the ones they love. As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse.”
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 is executive produced by showrunner David Zabel, Scott M. Gimple, Reedus, McBride, Greg Nicotero, Brian Bockrath, Angela Kang, Jason Richman, Dan Percival, Steve Squillante, Silvia Aráez, and Jesús de la Vega.
The third season is currently slated for 2025, and the series will make it’s return on September 29th on AMC and AMC+ for the second season.
