Rich Homie Quan, one of the biggest names in hip-hop during the mid 2010’s thanks to hits such as “Type of Way and “Flex”, died from an accidental drug overdose, the medical examiner’s office in Georgia officially confirmed, according to a Fulton County medical examiner’s report obtained by People Magazine.
Rich Home Quan, born Dequantes Devontay Lamar, reportedly died due to numerous drugs such as fentanyl, alprazolam, codeine and promethazine per the medical examiner’s report, which added that Quan showed no signs of trauma when his body was found and ruled his death was an accident.
Quan, 33, died at an Atlanta hospital on September 5th.
Quan’s brother had told police that Quan was asleep on the floor by the kitchen before he picked up the rapper and put him on the couch, saying it was “very unusual” to see food still in his mouth, and later in the morning police received a call from a woman who noticed that Quan’s body was cold and he was not breathing.
