- Former NFL quarterback Tom Brady, who retired in 2023, has been crowned the NFL athlete making the most money off-field, with the quarterback earning $52m off-field, compared to $31.9m on-field.
- The NBA star with the highest off-field earnings is Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James at $80m. This total is $30m more than Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant’s off-field earnings of $50m who took second place.
- With earnings of $55m from business ventures, soccer/futbol players Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have been named the soccer/futbol players making the most money off-field. This is more than double soccer/futbol superstar Neymar’s off-field earnings, at $25m, who took third place.
- Racers Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen are the only Formula 1 drivers to feature in the top 50 sports stars with the highest off-track earnings. Hamilton took 30th place, with earnings of $8m, with Verstappen’s earnings of $2m good enough for 43rd.
- LIV golfer Phil Mickelson has been named golf’s highest off-field earner, with the LIV Golf star making $42m from business ventures. This total is also the 11th highest off-field earnings of any athlete.
